Slammin aka Roland Kaur got his drum and bass addiction in the early 2000s when the rave scene in Estonia was at its peak. It was about that time he fell in love with the genre almost instantly. After visiting a lot of different drum & bass events through the years the love for the music grew exponentially, to an extent that mixing as a DJ wasn't an option anymore - it was an obligation. Getting his first turntables at the age of 16 was the starting point of his career. Since that he has played in several events across Tallinn and other cities in Estonia, and even won the national radio's 'DNB Newcomer Of The Year' award in 2008. He also hosts two of the only innovative nu skool drum and bass events in Tallinn: 'Minimal' and 'Audiosport'. Influenced by Instra:mental, Spectrasoul, Alix Perez, D-Bridge, Loxy, Goldie, Noisia, Ed Rush & Optical etc. his selection can be quite dark and minimal but at the same time quite smoothing and relaxing - at times old classics tend to get lost in them. You can always hear something new in his sets, 'cause he is constantly evolving and only time will tell what will come out next...
