Sky Sanctuary is a unique infusion of sounds that can only be described as Progressive Video-Game Metal. Starting out as a one-man studio project in 2011, multi-instrumentalist Joey Cohen set out to deliver a powerful, yet uplifting admixture of electronic soundscapes, domineering grooves and complex rhythms that bring forth Joey's trademark sound it has become known for. With influences from retro video-games such as Sonic The Hedgehog to modern-day Metal entities like Meshuggah, Sky Sanctuary yields an aggressive, melodic, yet emotive wave of sound, with an underlying story behind the music in the style of "zones" and video-game-driven themes.
