About
Reigning from Adelaide AUS, Skrat started producing at the age of 16 , focusing on HipHop production and MC'ing. After producing various other genre's such as Drum and Bass, Skrat's Hip Hop music naturally led towards a more Dubstep and Trip-Hop influenced sound. In most recent years, the rave scene and electronic music has inspired Skrat's production, yet his roots in Hip Hop remain prominent.
Last year Skrat began audio training at CMAP Production Training Australia. He immediately excelled to the top of the class, delivering the best quality synthesized sounds. From this, Skrat's first releases emerged covering multiple genre's and showing the diversity that he has been trying to achieve since he started producing. Dj'ing and performing was the next step and this led to a residency at Puls8 nightclub in Adelaide.
Skrat has had numerous collaborations and releases with other successful artists such as Project-2 and Heather Zaeda (of Studio-X), Eurisko, Da Phat Boy and many others. He is continuously working with these artists, and more, on collaborations and remixes that will be released throughout the year.
As well as these projects he is currently working on a solo Drum and Bass/Drumstep EP for future release later this year, which will include previously unreleased and re-mastered tracks from the past six years.
