Sistra – is a Russian band with European sound. Their music breathes cold and restraint, but at the same time a tenderness and softness. And it is not surprising, because these musicians are from Far East of Russia - a region, where large rivers flow through impassable taiga forest. It's almost like Scandinavia or Iceland, so the music of Sistra has harmony of northern territories. Where bright sun shines in minus thirty degrees giving everyone a warm weather instead. Where snow is in flakes and the wind bracing thoughts and feelings.
It's very difficult to put a band in some particular musical genre. When ears gets floating somewhere in the north tunes of Sistra, you're not thinking about any genre. They are often referred to indietronic style. But there is a minimalism of post-punk, post-rock and Scandinavian balearic, also some elements of trip-hop. Sistra had a long way to it's current sound. At this point the band is based in Moscow and released their debut album “Telegram Cloud”.
