SirReal’s humble beginnings started the same as many an age old drum and bass tale; an older brother and his friends playing tape-packs and albums alike, not letting younger siblings anywhere near the tape deck, soon blossomed into an unhealthy obsession with all things drum and bass.

Although enticed by garage and hip-hop along the way, this South-London DJ has managed to stay true to the 170+ BPM. Frequenting the dance floors of Mass, Fabric, The End and Barumba armed only with a fake NUS and an annoying habit for recognising and pointing out tunes as DJs brought them in, he started using a computer DJ program to replicate this love. However, it wasn’t until his final student loan instalment did he buy his first pair of decks and mixer. Confining himself to his bedroom relentlessly trying to hone his new found passion and master his art.

SirReal then began playing guest mixes on friends radio shows in and around London, he was given a break when he was selected for the NewWave DJ competition where he finished 2nd place at only his 2nd gig. Since then he has built somewhat of a cult following around the globe for his soulful, harmonic and seamless mixing. SirReal also won the www.DifferentDrumz.co.uk mix competition and also holds down a weekly ‘Feel Good Friday night’ show from 8-10pm GMT exhibiting the best in upfront and classic liquid drum and bass.

SirReal has played at numerous events up and down the UK supporting the likes of Fabio, Utah Jazz, D-Bridge, Eveson, BCee, dRamatic, dbAudio, Mr. Joseph, Komatic in addition to imminent bookings abroad and a number developing production projects the future is looking bright...
