SimpleSongs offers exactly what it says on the tin: a set of dark, straight-forward songs with stripped-down arrangements and catchy melodies. Originally a one man bedroom music affair, SimpleSongs became a band performing songsmith Ken Veerman’s gloomy tales of loss, heart-break and –why not?- the end of the world.
After the apocalyptic 2006 debut-EP ‘Last Day On Earth’, SimpleSongs returns with a nameless full album containing more of those haunted ‘empty’ ballads drenched in echoes and background noise.
