I AM A SINGER that works the pub and club circuit's in SOUTH WALES. Many styles or genre's are included in my usual set which could range between Nat 'King' Cole to Led Zeppelin. Being at the age of 53, my influences were set initially by THE BEATLES and the experimental and fresh change of music they created. loved a vast amount of 60's music because of my elder brother's influence. As a teenager in the 70's I developed my independent tastes for most of the 70's music including 'PROGRESSIVE ROCK', 'GLAM ROCK' and the best bands who delved into 'PUNK'. I enjoyed substantial 80's music but in a varied variety, the likes of The Blow Monkey's and Curiosity Killed the Cat, I continued my affection for the survivors of the 70's, namely BOWIE and ROXY MUSIC and HALL & OATES.
I must have been 'Out of Town' during the 90's, because It was a time of SWA factory, with loops and synths, producing, in my mind, Twee music, producing the likes of Sonia, Kylie, Donovan etc. so not much stands out to from that era. Also It was the time for emergence of the BOY BAND. Having said that, TAKE THAT have now fully developed into a very credible 'BAND'. The 90's was also the time of re-issue - rehash, where many songs were re-arranged for the chart chase, consequently, not a great deal stands out for me from this era, albeit. I'm sure there were.
I am known for my TRIBUTE to NEIL DIAMOND, but in my usual 'Pub' set, I tend to include influences as above, also incorporating such great material by ROBERT PALMER, BOZ SCAGGS, CHRIS REA, T. REX, BOWIE and the likes. My gig sets are very eclectic and I cover 'stuff' that most people don't!, In general 60's, 70's 80's ... some 90's and little modern. with exception to the likes of SNOW PATROL, KAISER CHIEFS, THE CORAL and the Terrific RICHARD HAWLEY. Being a self contained 'Artiste' you can be assured that I have the best possible accompanying tracks, to make my performance stand out. If your around 'Drop By', thanks for your interest
