Circa 1991 : I was setting up my Dads garage with 2nd hand stereos specifically for playing music to dance too. I was buying cassette singles & some vinyl.
Later on I was flipping tapes and 45's at the end of school party. I wasn't a dj, I just turned up with the tunes and kept it going.
That turned into endless raves, clubbing, dance parties, warehouse parties, house parties, outdoor parties, festivals & life.
These days I'm mixing with vinyl on Serato, still collecting and having more fun. Music is about family & friends, connections, communication, feeling, movement, liberation.
Always working on my technique. Scratching, drop mixing, wild pitch, full flush, doubles & cuts. I like it live in the mix, rolling, quirky & bumping.
The influence of deep house is back in the sound, with dubs, techno, breaking down, deep, a little shimmy, a dust of disco.
