'A self taught guitarist from the age of fourteen, Simon has modelled his style on riffs and rhythms.'
Guitars create the rhythms and melodies that tell the stories of my life.
Wherever I go, my guitar goes with me to record the journey.

@Big Blind Special: Cheers!!
@Celestial Soundwave: Thanks for the listen and comment.
@Carolyn Burnette: Thanks Carolyn ;-)
Love the recording quality of that Resonator. It really swells the sound and sets the tone for the rest of the tune. Nice work Spike. ;-)
@GrandUnifiedTheory: Gab - there is a Mick Jones/Big Audio Dynamite track called 'E=MC2' you should check it out if you don't know it.
@jaime j. ross: Skill - well you have that even if you don't believe so. Self-deprecation can be a good thing, but when expression is subtle and soulful it is an art in itself - and you have some sort of spiritual connection with the creation process when you write using the piano - I wish I had that.
Oh this is a strange blast.... Really enjoyable jazz funk edge... Big surprise..
Heard this over on Stefan's cloud, and had to visit you and say 'Lovely'. A fine melody, and the paino is expressive in it's sentiment. A fine piece of work from you both. ;-)
@jaime j. ross: Yes, the guitar and piano work very well together indeed. Congratulations.
Very enjoyable Stefan. Indeed I like the melody and sentiment. ;-)

@Lee >>> Lucas: Thanks again Lee, always appreciate your feedback.
@Lee >>> Lucas: Cheers Lee.... ;-)
@Lee >>> Lucas: Thanks Lee, so good to hear your thoughts on this little number.. Y'know me, guitar has got to be in front everytime.
@StealthRT: Thanks Chris, I think Gabriel brought sounds out in this mix that I felt were just not precise enough, and he made them work!
@Nemorospo: OK, I will send you a copy of it Marc for your collection!!! Thanks for the comment.. ;-)
@Clément Bindzi: Mais Oui Monsieur.!
@Gary Sunshine: Thanks Gary. Really good to hear from you and hear what you liked about the recording. S
@Van Gabriel: Ha... I have been thinking about it for awhile now, and just had a moment at the weekend where I thought it was necessary!
@Mikans: Thanks indeed, thanks again... Glad you enjoyed ;-)
@The Irate Pirates: Cheers guys!
@colin crighton: Very good Col thanks. And hope that you and yours are too. ;-) (And yes, as I listened to it I thought of you!)
@markjbennett: Thanks Mark..indeed it is good to hear from you. There are a couple of other versions of this, and I aim to add it to my live set at some point - but minus the other instruments - unless I finally afford a 'looper'
Ha... 'Rock'.. I did think 'OK maybe this is better described as 'Blues' but then maybe SC needs to widen it's 'instrumental' categorising... either way, glad you enjoyed ;-)
This is the first new SD/VG tine to be posted up on the internet since the LP 'Across the Atlantic'. This almost made it onto the final cut, but was left to one side as it was a 'late' entry. Maybe a 'taster' of things to come...
@jim manser: Thanks Jim.. for the comment, the listen and the like. Hope you're well.
@Van Gabriel: Thanks bro.. we must talk soon.. I have just taken on a permanent role and am having to work more hours, so have been away from the music. Once everything settles, I will have time... hopefully
Great additions to an already good song. Very enjoyable Jonny, Gab and Marc.
@BEAUTIPHONIC: Thanks very much indeed.. Very glad oyu enjoyed this ;-)
@Jinx Jones: Thanks Jinx. I have another version on bandcamp without the lead acoustic cutting in too early as well. Really glad you liked this my friend. ;-)
Uhmmm, there is a story behind this song, and I did foresee a Dire Straits 'Romeo and Juliet' symphony for it, but we never got there. Maybe one day.
Really! Wow. I think this is my favourite track of all I have ever done. For the meaning, the style and the beauty of the sounds.
The first track I recorded using a computer.. It opened my mind to possibilities I had never ever dreamed of.
And bless you too.
@ProgRockDan1: Good, and me you too. I should have something for you within the next few days Dan
@Carolyn Burnette: Thank you, it is an honour to have you listen.
@Carolyn Burnette: Well, I know, but SC is a big old pool and sometimes just because you know a name doesn't mean you know the person at all.
Oh Yes indeed. It's the full-time monk wannabe in me. Most folk want fame and stardom, I want silence and solitude, and to express my gifts in them.
