Simo Soo is a vocalist/multi-instrumentalist and electronic music producer from Sydney. Simo began performing and recording solo during his time fronting now-defunct noise/punk band, Call The Medic, Call The Nurse!! in 2009.
Simo Soo’s music is a mix of DIY punk aesthetics fused with modern hip hop and dance production by way of everything from noise to IDM to autotune pop.
He has played shows across Australia, USA and Spain with bands such as Das Racist, Abe Vigoda, XBXRX, Rat Vs Possum, Captain Ahab, Big A little a, Curse Ov Dialect, Hawnay Troof, Collarbones, The Laurels, Kirin J Callinan, Toecutter, Toxic Lipstick and countless others.
He has also done remixes for the likes of Captain Ahab, The Death Set, Atari Teenage Riot, Religious Girls, Collarbones, Totally Unicorn & Dominique Young Unique.
His latest self titled album released October 2011 on Lesstalk Records features production and guest vocals by members of Collarbones, Big Dumb Kid and Canadian gonzo interviewer Nardwuar The Human Serviette.
