thanks mate! i sampled some guitar notes and then programmed the whole solo, so each note was triggered via midi!

I hear this track as a piece with a great opportunity, but not yet "grown up". The guitar playing is excellent! Totally sensitive, organic and with a healthy amount of variation and, may I say excellent taste. I just wish the rest of the music would be as interactive with the top line playing as the top line playing is with itself. What I think you should do is to go through every single part in the music and make it vary to back up the inspired guitar playing - just like brilliant musicians would have played. Of course this opinion is biased by my own personal taste, but I really like programmed music when the programmer makes an effort to do it all organic. If using loops that can't be "re-programmed" slap a filter over it and pull down a fraction of the treble when the lead line is not quite as hot as in the climax spots. Or use volume by automation or whatever. Make every fucking sound in the mix TALK to the rest of the guys. TAkes time, of programming, but well worth it in a track like this with that top line player potential :-) Goddamit... I'm hearing some other ultra cool stuff now.... gotta change to comment on that as well.
