Silk Road started as a sister company of India’s premier music publisher Deep Emotions Publishing, co-owned by Universal Music Publishing Group, and has developed into a full-service music company.

On the one hand, the label is the creativity lab of quality songwriters from Deep Emotions who find here a supportive and organized environment for their talent; on the other hand, we are music specialists who can fulfil all the musical needs from clients, including original composition, music supervision, music editing and audio branding.

Because of the unique relationship between our companies, we are able to fulfil all audio and music requirements of our clients. We provide music clearance, negotiating and licensing services to the entire film and advertising communities. We are constantly creating and acquiring new music that makes Silk Road the ultimate resource for the highest quality of music in India.

We share our physical distribution network in India with Universal Music.

The label, which has received funding from an angel investor, acts also as advisor and distributor for independent Indian labels and artists.
