I think it needs to progress a bit more before the interlude, maybe even a drop?

    2. chaotic pulse on August 11, 2008 20:44

      Kind of anti-climactic.

@Nathan Rain: Totally hear what your saying. This is one of those weird tracks where i've sequenced the drums but played the melody in straight from my keyboard, and it's always hard to tell how they'll turn out. the whole track is pretty much a slave to this random, generative pad melody. Kind of takes you on a journey but quite a subtle one, and definitely by teh senic route.

if think the pad and the melody to be eqed so they can work together well

interesting could do with more high frequencies in the mix i reckon and maybe more evolution through the tune, nice work though

Frustrating. Dark. Haunting. Nerves. Going to explode. Caught in the beautiful darkness. Staying.

Some of these melodies have a strangely arabic vibe.

@The Verb: I like playing with odd progressions and the like, I always seem to end up with a haunting vibe with my melodies

It's a good start and would love to hear some more. I dunno how you feel about processed vocal samples, but this track seems like it wants to say something.

I made this weird little clicky drum track and then built the rest of the track around it.
