Need a gift for a gifted musician?
Sifu began exploring electronic music when he bought his first BASS cd named Techmaster PEB.He started music production when he found a Roland JX-305 at a local music shop. He was amazed at how some of the sounds were similar to what he had heard on the "Paul Oakenfold-Tranceport" album. Jordan's mother had taught him how to play the piano at a young age, so it was natural to mimic the melodies & chords just by hearing a track.
In 2000 Sifu submitted a track under the moniker "Dj Ninja" for a Texas based compilation cd called "Please Rewind and Play Again". His contact information was listed inside the cd cover and soon after received a phone call from Mikel Fair of 303infinity. 303infinity was founded in the late 90’s by Mikel Fair. The focus of 303infinity has been producing Trance music. 303’s signature sound became a combination of pulsing nightclub rhythms with elegant pianos, strings and melodic sounds.
Mikel was excited that someone was producing tracks in the same style of trance that he loved. Sifu and Mikel quickly formed a friendship and began putting out tracks together on mp3.com under the name 303infinity.
After a successful run on mp3.com, generating over 10 million mp3 downloads, 303infinity's debut CD release in 2001 entitled,"Dreamworld" sold over 48,000 CD's worldwide. 303infinity hit number 1 on the mp3.com overall download charts with the hit "Winter Rain".
After a long hiatus from music, Sifu has pieced together his studio to get back into production.
Sifu is currently working on solo projects, remixes, and basically anything he can get his hands on. He is trying to get his production skills up there with some of the big names and favorite producers. Future goals are to be featured on Markus Schulz's Global Dj Broadcast, Tone Diary w/ Marcus Schossow, and the biggest trance radio show A State of Trance.
Dj'ing has taken a back seat due to serious commitment to honing his production skills.
