Brooklyn born DJ and producer SicksentZ isn't exactly surprised by today's explosion of hiphop and edm into the forefront. An always left-thinking product of two parents who spun, the idea of embracing all genres has been ingrained literally since childhood. His musical diversity is evident in his personal releases, which touch everything from next level hiphop to dub. His range is further broadcast when hearing the mask-wearing DJ unite the most diverse of crowds into a collective sweatbox, a gift he says he learned by playing the always evolving Brooklyn party circuit.
A tastemaker of the NY scene, the Mishka sponsored artist has produced and remixed for some of the industry's biggest upcomers including G-Side, Clockwork, and Lakutis. He is also the in-house producer and DJ for Universal Music Group signee Mr. MFN eXquire, an artist he's spent the last 5 years helping break. As a DJ, 2012 marked his busiest year, participating in El-P's "Into the Wild Tour" as well as Smoke Dza's "He has Risen" tour. In addition, he has graced CMJ, SXSW, Hardfest LA, and A3C, all while dropping multiple EP's and mixes this year.
With a Fools Gold podcast in the near horizon, as well as collaborations in the works with eXquire, Dapwell (Das Racist), AJ Seude, and two more releases of his own slated this year, 2013 should be even busier for the man behind the masks.
