About

The Bassey Blog is an unofficial website dedicated to DAME SHIRLEY BASSEY. This page was set up to acknowledge and appreciate the great and varied remixes that have been created using Bassey's unmistakable voice and to draw attention to the lesser known but equally incredible musical talent of NEVER THE BRIDE.

It's our mission to celebrate how Bassey's voice transcends every boundary of musical possibility. We'd like to encourage more DJs to play DSB in their sets and to come up with new and interesting ideas that we will happily consider playing and featuring on The Bassey Blog.

While we are passionate advocators of Creative Commons and freedom of musical expression we don't own any samples or recordings. We encourage copyright owners to engage with us to help unleash the potential of their catalogue, to promote existing works or to create something that extends beyond the middle of the road!

Catherine Feeney and Nikki Lamborn of Never The Bride wrote The Living Tree for DSB and produced her Get The Party Started album. Their other amazing songs have been under-promoted in the past and remain a hidden gem to be enjoyed by Soundclouders everywhere! We recommend everyone listen, discover and follow at NTB Soundcloud

The views expressed here are the personal views of Ed and may not reflect those of other Bassey Blog contributors and most certainly not those of the artists concerned!

If you love DSB or NTB, please follow us and help spread the word!
