beautiful idea for a song. very nice. a simple request..
-
@mostlyfodder: Thanks man! Wish more of my girlfriends had acquiesced to the request... :) Mind you, I was probably making their lives pretty hard too!

Good track, mate - that's a great production. Good use of stereo - all sounds really natural. :)
-
@ShiftGorden: Thanks for the input - it all sounds really natural cos I can't make it sound any other way unfortunately! But nevertheless, I really wanted this one to have a real acoustic clean-ness to it.
- ShiftGorden on May 27, 2009 22:00
@RoughCut: Na - I like the naturalness of it - it certainly adds to the track! I like this track a lot, mate.

Yeah! Nice distorted gating synths - I wonder if you could squeeze a little more high frequency out of them perhaps? Make them sear through the air a little more. Just an idea :)
-
@ShiftGorden: Re-uploaded this to include a bit more 'air' in these synth parts to free up the distortion a bit... let me know what you think!
- ShiftGorden on May 22, 2009 20:16
@Cmoretrix: That's it - very nice, mate. It's like a knife :) Fantastico!

Not my genre but overall I thought it was a cool track, I especially liked how it how it all came together in the end and was wanting more of that. I think you could improve the melody in the break. It seemed a little jilted. I also expect to hear more glitchy style fills and percussion. Personally I dont like too much but a little here might have been good.
-
@rishi: Have re-uploaded a new version so this should sound a bit more varied, have moved the synths around rather than glitching them so it aught to be more of a complete sound.

@ShiftGorden: this track was written with logic pro 8, i think live was just a little rewire lave to logic for some stuff..

Well recorded! The acoustic guitar sounds nice and bright. Good job of capturing the dynamics!
