      nice percussion

    2. ShiftGorden on May 27, 2009 16:20

@Cmoretrix: Thanks, mate - I did a lot of messing around with the new Latin kit and groove functionality ;)

feels like there is a lot of stuff coming up but not really going anywhere...

    2. ShiftGorden on May 27, 2009 16:20

@Cmoretrix: Hmmm, I'll take another listen. Maybe I stretch things out for too long. Perhaps a couple of crafty edits will help.

    3. ShiftGorden on May 31, 2009 05:31

@ShiftGorden: I think all of my levels were out of wack - the beat was far too dominant. The synths are more prevalent now.

this sounds pretty cool but maybe layer an un-crushed pad sound under it to give it some more texture?

    2. ShiftGorden on May 27, 2009 16:21

@Cmoretrix: Great idea. I'll definitely try that one. The bitcrush sound is extremely metallic - a bit of pad warmth should help things along

    3. ShiftGorden on May 31, 2009 05:30

@ShiftGorden: Hows about this? I nice "reversed" pad - pretty interesting I think ;)

I like this part the most, this is the part where you get all the girls shakin' their asses

    2. ShiftGorden on June 03, 2009 03:52

@Extacee: Heh heh! Yeah - any part where the girls start shaking their asses wins! I need more parts like that ;)

song was a bit meh up until this point

    2. ShiftGorden on May 27, 2009 16:22

@seannash: Admittedly, this IS the point in the song where everything comes together nicely. I'm going to work on some edits.

That wobbly bass needs to be more prominent... It's cool!

    2. ShiftGorden on May 27, 2009 16:23

@Cmoretrix: I DO like the bass. Operator worked well for me here. I really liked the build behind the rest of the arrangement.

O ok there it is haha

    2. ShiftGorden on May 27, 2009 16:24

@Cmoretrix: ;) I was thinking of perhaps remixing this track, but making it more of a bass driven repetitive track. Thanks for all of your comments, mate. There are some solid ideas that I can work with there.

      that gate fits nice!

    2. ShiftGorden on March 15, 2009 18:17

Thanks! Volume on/off control is awesome for gating effects - and it gives you a lot of control. ;)

Thanks! I tweaked those for ever. All through this track I use a lot of chopping - one of my favorite types of treatments.

maybe turn down the rtansitional fx here, its overpowering the lead.

    2. ShiftGorden on March 15, 2009 18:14

I think I was suffering from bleeding ears by this stage - I couldn't work out if it was too loud or if I really enjoyed the distorted synth mangling, lol. Good advice

@ShiftGorden: I'm defintiely loving yhr distorted synth mangling!!!

Really nice track man, love the choppy fills on the bassline, and theres some really nice use of effects in their that help carry the tune along.

Yeah - I need to work on bringing up the low-end on all my tracks. I'll mess around with some EQ and other things. Thanks, mate!

      quirky.

    2. ShiftGorden on January 28, 2009 16:07

@nomsi: Yeah - I like it for the intro, but didn't pay too much attention to it later down the line. Thanks for all your comments, brother! A remix is in the works.

      That bass needs LOUD!

    2. ShiftGorden on January 28, 2009 16:05

@nomsi: Yeah - the disadvantage of mastering through headphones - should have known better. I'm working on it ;)

@nomsi: Thanks, mate. Trying to keep things interesting.

house electro pumping

House track - tried to keep things moving and pumping :-)

The track that keeps on getting remastered - this time (5/30/09) - I've lowered the kicks, added a few drum rolls and this odd sounding backwards synth behind the piano. All levels have been adjusted to give the harmonic content more placement ;)
