"Jay-J's keepin it real AGAIN! All of his signature beats and flawless production are there, complemented by full & hooky vocals. This one's got its own little home on my iPod 4 sure!"

Ethan White (Tortured Soul)
--------------------
"I couldn't expect less than EXCELLENT from one of the most prolific and musical DJs in the market. "LOVE ALIVE" is more than dancefloor music, and at the same time, it's perfect for that too... It's hard to pick one, but 2 of my favorites are "Getting A Rise" and "Reforminator". 10/10!"

DJ Meme
--------------------
"Jay-J never fails! His top quality production and ear for a groove that you can't stop listening to has always won me over. Love Alive" is amazing! House music is lucky to have Jay-J!"

Jevne (Onethirty Recordings)

"There are few people in this industry that you manage to keep idolising, Jay-J has remianed in that list, and i think he always will. What most people dont realise is that he is the sole reason producers of house music coming out of Moulton Studios in San francisco sounded so good, because he engineered pretty much all of it. It's great to see his first solo artist album though, after buying an unpreceidented amount of singles of his handy work, he had set the bar pretty high for the debut album!

The Album is a musical journey that takes you from the dancefloor to the bar and from there it tucks you neatly into bed. With its amazingly sexy vocals, catchy rhythms, countless live music elements and bouncing basslines... this truely is an album from the soul, for the soul... dont miss this slice of brilliance! 10/10"

Husky (member of Random Soul)

"Classic vocals produced by the one and only grammy nominated Jay-J? What's not to like? Don't sleep on this people! This is gonna be huge!!!!"

The Jinks

"With most house producer's albums, by song 4 or 5 I'm really ready for something else. With "If I Wanted You," Love Alive shows great diversity. It makes me wanna tear my panties off. Seriously, It was a pleasure to listen to. He's been around a while, and this album proves... Jay-J is here to stay!"

Stacy Burket (Luzon)

"You can really feel this album is made by a true song writer. Classy melodys and vocal arrangements. Real songs! "Getting a rise" is my fav track aftre the first listening – a fine funky flip with a lovely touch of that swing beat mode of the early 90s. Overall I prefer the songs going in that funky direction, but I can see the point with mixing it up with some more straight and mellow tracks. I think the mix of styles also make this more of an album than just a selection club cuts, which usually is the case in the house genre."

Alf Tumble (Sumo, Bangana, Heya HiFi)
--------------------
"I am Loving "Love Alive", "Into The Light" and "Whisper". Dopeness! Good luck with this J"

Jon Cutler (Distant Music)
--------------------
"The most complete house album of the year to date. Something here for every dance floor any time of the night. Well done Jay-J."

Tribal Kings

"Jay-J is keeping the warmth, the soul, the funk...the GOOD, alive in house/club music! Here is a whole album of it!"

Morten Trust (Soul Magic)
--------------------
"A strong, lyrically driven album which shows why Jay-J is one of the most respected producers of recent years. A well balanced blend of male and female artists, each track perfectly crafted for a long play album. Each of the songs are so powerful that they are wide open for individual release and remix treatment, ladies and gentlemen the summer of 09 belongs to Jay-J."

Andy Ward (Soul Heaven, Soul Central)

"Having known the man for the better part of 15 years, I can tell you without a doubt that Love Alive is a musical interpretation of Jay-J himself. It is at once classic, yet very contemporary and is a complete reflection of the sounds that have shaped this producer for more than 20 years.

While listening for the first time I heard sounds and melodies that have inspired many of us in years past, such as the early 80's post disco vibe of Getting A Rise, the Larry Heard esque Reforminator and the Blaze like melodies of Decide. Yet it is quintessential Jay-J.

With its crisp mixing, fluid arrangement, luscious keys and hopeful and positive lyrics, this is, I believe the album he has wanted make for a long time. I have no trouble picturing him jumping around the studio, bobbing his head like a loon while recording the vocalists and musicians on this album, or playing his patented AIR instruments whilst playing these cuts live. For at the end of the day, Jay is a guy who writes the music he himself wants to hear, the music that still excites him all these years on.

It is fortunate for house heads all over that it just so happens that they are also connected to his vibe and that he continues to respect the past while being inspired by the future.

Love Alive is the soundtrack to this reality".

Chris Lum (Abitare Music)

"Jay-J brings forth an awesome full length LP that takes us on an organic and soulful ride thru a funky neighborhood where house and R&B live. We stop to pick up 6 great vocalists along the way, and Jay-J's solid production keeps the the rubber side down for the whole ride!"

Chuck Love (Love Network Programming director)
--------------------
"Super smooth grooves with great vocal performances make this a must have album for soulful house fans."

Mark Rae (Rae and Christian, Yes Kings)

"Love this album. A great body of work by a great asset to House Music. Well done J"

Christian Alvarez (Delecto Recordings)

"A smooth classic house collection with Jay-J's soulful style"

Miguel Migs (Salted Music)

"Jay J has delivered a definitive artist album that is not bound by any specific genre. He touches upon a wide range of music ranging from soulful house, to downtempo chill, to r&b, and yes even electro - all written & produced with a deftness than is undeniably Jay J. Thoughtful lyrics, beautiful vocals, crisp beats, lush sounds, edgy instrumentation, and first rate arrangements are all on full display here. Although there's not a clam in the bunch, some of my favorite cuts are the uplifting house inspired title track "Love Alive", the blissful, hook drenched "If I Wanted You", a mid-tempo Ol' School soul cut titled "Reformator", and the John Legend inspired "Every Road". There is really something for everyone on this album. DO NOT SLEEP!! 10/10"

Evan Landes (Groove Junkies)
--------------------
"Jay-J shines once again. His production style and sound always warms my heart. Bringing together the spirit and vibe of some seiously talented artists he has crafted the perfect blend of melodies, lyrics and beats like only Jay J can do. Perfect summer dance album."

Luis Baro (Sirius XM - All About)
--------------------
"Love Alive is a Vibrant and Lofty Album of Songs and Optimism set to a sunlit soundtrack of First Class
House Beats and Grooves in true Jay-J form."

Nathan G (Australia)
--------------------
"Our friend, Jay-J takes care of biz on this full length. He's covered all the details here. Production prowess aside, there's something in this album to fit whatever mood that strikes you. Well done bro!"

Parrish Wintersmith (Groove Junkies)
--------------------
"I really like Jay-J's new album, very well crafted songs, with one foot in the past and one in the future so to speak. I'm really looking forward to play the club mixes!"

Rasmus Faber (Farplane)
--------------------
“Jay-J’s album is a refreshing journey into a collection of ‘club friendly’ tracks and ‘listening pleasure’ gems that touch the soul and jazz of (soulful) electronic music.”
