collapse of our economy seems un-avoidable. Our economy, education
system, infrastructure, health care, military, and state/federal
agencies struggle to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Plus
concerns within the black community seem to be on the back-burner
of political thought. The high cost of gas, food, and health care
impact the fellow Americans, but in the Black community the
down-turn of the economy goes beyond words. How do we make our
voices heard in the Low Country? Who will speak out against the
power structure that overlooks the Black community? Who will inform
our community and speak truth to power? The answer: The Shawn
