Shameia LaCrawf is from Atlanta, Ga by way of Monroe NC. She is classically trained, holds a degree in music, and delivers one of the most powerful and memorable voices you will ever hear. In addition she is a vivacious and mesmerizing performer. Her father, also a musician, was her biggest influence and encouraged her to start singing in church as a toddler. By age 8, she was performing and writing songs. By age 17, Shameia had released her first independent album. There has been no stopping this prolific performer.
She's worked in Singapore for six months & has performed in South Africa, Bermuda, Jamaica, & Prague. She has shared the stage with & studied under some of the industry's best such as Cherelle, Lil G, Tony Terry, Calvin Richardson. Featured on Vashawn Mitchell’s 2012 release, Created 4 This, on the song Lost. She is also a background singer for Veteran Soul Singer, Angie Stone.
Shameia’s goal through singing is to tell a story. She believes, what she can’t always say verbally, she can express through song. Her EP “Shop This” is scheduled for release on May 7th, to follow an EP Release Party in Atlanta Ga. The album was produced by Grammy Winning producer, Magnedo7.
