Inspired by the early works of ambient icon Steve Roach's 'Structures From Silence', each piece in 'Still'
was designed to reflect certain natural breathing patterns that occur
prior to falling asleep and to gradually lead the listener into a
quiet, relaxed state. By relaxing the mind fully before sleep, one
disconnects from stressful day-to-day thoughts and activities, putting
the mind and body in a state more receptive to the full benefits of
deep sleep. The artist, Kimathi Moore, spent one year falling asleep to
each piece before releasing them as part of this album.*
