About
Sgustok Music is a Belarusian label founded in 2008 by twin brothers Denis Kovalev and Dmitry Kovalev. It is a new branch of Sgustok Magazine which will carry out the main support of the label. Sgustok Music is a platform for the musicians from all the continents. It gives the opportunity to deliver one's musical experiments to listeners. All releases are available for free download (mp3 192 kbps — free download, mp3 320 kbps & wav — distributed by Juno Download) and are licensed by Creative Commons.
We don't try to be limited to one style, one sounding, we don't want to exist in one subculture, to be restricted by frames. On the contrary, we want to constantly dissolve, dilute and expand the label. Moving between structures is the main principle of existence of Sgustok Music, which helps to avoid limitation.
We are looking for music which is satiated with pungent sensual and emotional qualities. Something light, simple, understandable, and at the same time penetratingly deep and powerful. We are striving for something unconscious and hard to formulate that is always slipping away.
