About
Hey all,
Name's Jordan, though I typically go by jocloud31 or Seraph online. I've been playing music since I was six or seven, started on piano, moved to trumpet, picked up guitar and bass in High School, drums in college, then stopped playing altogether about 3 years ago, when I joined the "real world". I did a lot of songwriting in High School, both pop/emo style and classical for orchestra/piano, then moved to writing rock/metal in college. I've resurrected a few of my preferred pieces and posted them here, as well as a few new and experimental pieces. I've been trying to get back into writing, and have a few pieces in the works that I'll hopefully be able to post soon, but the majority of my time now is spent working towards my degree, working at work, and taking care of my twin daughters, who are currently 5 months old.
At this point, I feel my strength is writing drum parts for songs. I draw a lot of my influence from Avenged Sevenfold when writing drums, but I try to look at every song in a vacuum, separate from anything else I've written. You might see a few drums-only tracks up, which you should not only feel free to steal and write music for, but you should feel COMPELLED to do so.
Also, if you find yourself wanting a drum track, drop me a message and I'd be happy to write something for you. I can either straight export the sound, or I can provide a midi so you can use your own sounds.
