For this one, it's sight. Musically that's all about looking forward so three of the best new bass music producers have been drafted in. First up Mak & Pasteman, a duo who have been making a lot of noise with releases on Sound Of Sumo and Shifting Peaks. The duo drop 'Void', a high tech bass bomb built around a carefully chosen sample that devastates right from the start. Bobby Friction has already playlisted it on his BBC show.
Next up NKC, who impressed with last years 'Pyramids' EP, drops 'Errthing' matching up some ballroom house attitude with a huge siren like baseline and a stuttering 4x4 beat, early support from Ikonika and Greenmoney. Then we get German duo JTRP, known for their work on T.William's highly regarded Deep Teknologi imprint, 'Nothing To Do Here' builds rattling percussion and their signature tech-atmosphere into a deadly drop that comes out of nowhere, built for basements from Berlin to Brooklyn. Digital exclusives come from NKC with the retro futuristic house jam 'Finale' and JTRP with their basic channel-meets-UK funky 'Apparition'.
Artwork comes from Brighton based Katie Scott who's arresting and varied work is intricate and detailed, balancing technical ability with a wild creative streak.
