Selectah EL P is a Leipzig-based DJ of Jungle, Reggae, Dubwise and DnB.
Starting in 2004 with his love for reggae music and 2 turntables, he realized some smaller events in town and was then invited to the Hotta Fire Reggaestation in the Distillery, Leipzig’s biggest Reggaeular in that time. Living one year in Italy then where he played 3 times he got in touch with a musically wider style and their scene. After his return, together with the Vibes Ambassadors he planned bigger events from that time on, such as the NativeVibes-Regular, which was headlined by guests like Jahtari, Amadeus, DJ K, Aries and the whole Ulan Bator Crew. He quickly then got skilled in selecting the faster breaks, such as Jungle and Drum and Bass. But, in his sets he is always capable of returning to their roots like reggae and dub, so that he played the aftershow of LEE PERRY in December 2010. The participation at the Lion-Dub-Festival in Berlin, club nights with TRUTH, Bulldogs, Cellectric Violince, D.I.S and Bladerunner, Mystic Dan, Zhi MC and the Coordination of the Global Space Odyssey Leipzig were further projects.
Nowadays being influenced by lots of genres he always bridges the gap of musical boundaries and his sets range from Reggae / Dub, Dubstep, Breaks, DnB to Ragga-Jungle. He is part of the rich and versatile Vibes Ambassadors Movement.
