Born in Hamburg in 1976, son of a migrant workers family.
His passion for music was enlighten at the age of eight when he was mesmerized by his cousin playing “Saz” (a stringed musical instrument) in a Turkish wedding band.
Sedat was always coming along to gigs and kept practicing the instrument at home but he really got started getting into music when he got his first Keyboard and joined a band with a couple of mates. They started with covers by Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys but soon got into more Guitar led stuff like music from Pearl Jam, Nirvana or Rage against the Machine.
Thru the band he met his best friend with whom he discovered a few new directions for himself... And thanx to a few guitar lessons in Flamenco, Bossa-Nova and Jazz.
That was the foundation for what became the sound we now know of Sedat. Soulful, funky and clubby with an edge. He was 18 at the time and hungry for more, so why stop there? The next step for him was getting into producing and Dj’ing.
In 1997 he was playing at loads of private parties which led to him getting a residency a year later at a small venue in Hamburg. To this day his fusion of Funk, Soul, Dancefloor Jazz and Disco is his trademark sound.
Under the clubAir name he and his friends are organizing parties since 2004 called “Destination Disco” at a swanky venue called 13th Floor in his hometown Hamburg where he is still playing to this day. His other residency right now is at NEIDKLUB (http://neidklub.de) where he is regularly playing alongside well known Dj’s and Producers like Boris Dlugosch, Boys Noize, Punks Jump Up, Tomboy, Bloody Beetroots, Lützenkirchen and many more...
He also became head editor of the German Dance and Club Charts at DJPropaganda, one of the main Dance and Club promo companies in Germany.
At the end of 2008 he signed to Berlin based record label Mode2 Recordings
