Mezzo-soprano Sarah Larsen, a native of Roseville, Minnesota, has appeared on Seattle Opera’s mainstage as Mercédès in “Carmen,” Suzuki in “Madama Butterfly, and Tisbe in “La Cenerentola.” For our “Viva Verdi!” concert, she sang Preziosilla’s “Rataplan” from “La forza del destino,” in which a gypsy fortune-teller inspires courage and lust for battle among the soldiers and camp-girls at an army encampment.
