Lawrence Brownlee sings Tonio in “La fille de régiment” at Seattle Opera in 2013. A graduate of Seattle Opera’s Young Artists Program, the tenor won Seattle Opera’s Artist of the Year Award in 2008 when he sang Arturo in “I puritani.” In his entrance aria, “A te o cara,” this Cavalier gentleman displays his sublime sentiments—not to mention breath control—as he enters his Puritan fiancé’s home for their wedding.
