A fixture on the east coast of Canada for nearly 15 years, Sean Keating has earned the respect of electronic music lovers, DJs and promoters all over with his intelligent and smooth blend of melodic and mesmeric deep house. From organic melodies to dark and sleazy baselines, Sean is more than capable of pleasing the most stubborn of dance floors.
A true technical perfectionist his outstanding programming skills are always backed up by flawless execution thus earning him a reputation as one of the most consistent performers in the scene. The professional approach to his craft has provided him with many opportunities throughout the years having opened for such highly acclaimed artists as Deep Dish, Danny Howells, DJ Dan, Tiga, Luke Fair, Sultan, Steve Porter, Max Graham, Kaskade, Darude, Armin Van Buuren and an impromptu tag session with Sasha in 2003 which remains as one of Halifax’s most enduring electronic music memories.
Since his introduction into the DJ scene in the late 90s, Sean has become a driving force behind electronic music on the east coast, whether it was as an inspiration to other DJs or bringing his love for the music to the dance floor through small, intimate afterhours events. Sean has also held residencies with the most successful promotional companies on the east coast including Massive Productions, Underdog Entertainment and Halifax’s most successful club night, Baseline Fridays @ Reflections.
Sean’s contributions to the world or electronic music don’t stop with Atlantic Canada having made a point of sharing his sound across the globe via internet radio and streaming. This included starting his ‘Chilling Moments’ mix series in 2002 which remains ongoing to this day as well as providing the winning mix in John Digweed’s ‘Structures Two’ mix contest and being featured on John’s highly acclaimed radio broadcast ‘Transitions’.
