With an adolescence spent singing, drumming and playing bass in rock bands behind him, Sam seeks to bring together the influence of his formative years with his more recent studies at the Royal College of Music studying the craft of film composition. His French heritage opened him up to Debussy and impressionist music while his interest in Japan's anime culture has exposed him to the extremities of jazz and electronic music, all traits which he aspires to fuse into his own compositional style.
