Scott Langley Artist Biography

Back in 1991 when dance music was in its infancy and fast becoming a worldwide phenomenon, a young open minded teenager named Scott Langley was attending the illegal dances and warehouse parties that accompanied the sound now known as house music. Full of awe and inspiration that followed from attending these dances, Scott obtained his first set of decks and was soon after playing for these very parties delivering a selection of what was his sound at the time, a combination of early house, hardcore and drum and bass.

It was a trip to the summer home of house music, the white isle known as Ibiza when Scott was 18 that finally developed both his sound and love for house music and is what he's still playing to this day! However, since the very beginning, playing records for Scott has always been about transformation and satisfaction for both him and the crowd, by making the room move to where you want it to be, taking the groove and seamlessly making it change.

Scott’s cutting-edge house sound runs through both his dj sets and more recently his productions too, joining the dots between Soulful house to Deep-tech, tribal, and progressive – always fresh, always with a funk edge, it is a complete mixture of emotion, mood and feeling....a sound lived, relived, and filled with inspiration!

Having graced the decks with some of the biggest names in the industry and with over 18 years experience under his belt, Scott has delivered his sound across the globe in over 20 countries from Mexico to Malaysia to Moscow and events as diverse as Bangkok’s Ministry of Sound and Thailands infamous Full Moon Parties, Germany’s Love Parade to name a few. He has also graced over 30 venues in his hometown, London, at one point holding down a staggering 20 residencies in the capital.

To date Scott is taking his music to an even higher level and beyond with his studio and dj tour schedule and with multiple production and remix projects already taking place, he has gone on to set up his own label imprint Phunk Solution Recordings and partner with long running promotions company Smartie Partie to form SPTrax.

Scott has also been signed exclusively to Baroque Records under the banner Phunksolution. And this busy bee producer is now working on 3 tracks with Michelle Weeks, Stephanie Cooke & Dawn Tallman.

He has also just carried out 4 remixes for Jesse Saunders including Inaya Days - Better Days and Nasty from Jesses Greatest hits album. And a album due out for march on Broken Records.

To date this lad now has over 100 productions signed and is climbing the ladder. One to watch one might say!!!
