Funky House / Electro DJ and producer.

I've been a music fan from a very early age. My tastes in music are many and varied. I got into house music around 1987 - 1988 and first started DJing in 1989. Was a big fan of Acid House and the warehouse rave sounds. Loved the Madchester/Baggy era where there was a massive crossover with indie and house. I've been there as every different type of house music sub genre has come and gone or as many have developed and mutated into the different style that are around today. I still love most of it and wouldn't want to limit myself to one particular genre although I still have a preference for big, uplifting sounds with plenty of energy. Love disco even though it's unfashionable. Funky House, French House, Electro, Bassline, Acid House, Old Skool....the list goes on.

I've been producing for about a year now so still fairly new to it. I produce my tracks using my Dell XPS laptop and Ableton Live. Favourite software synths are Rob Papens Blue and Predator. Also like Crystal and possibly my favourite newly discovered VST plug in is Silverbox - a Roland TB-303 emulator.

A local Leicester Indie band are interested in having me work with them on a dance remix of one of their tracks so I'm looking forward to trying that. I won't name the band on here until it's all been finalised.

Recently I've had three of my tracks chosen by Henleys Clothing which they are now using in videos on their website to promote their clothing ranges. Check out these links to the videos:

Everybody has to start somewhere and this is my biggest success to date.

Really excited by the developments in technology that mean that it's now possible for anyone to produce tracks. (I am a bit of a geeky gadget fan) Also the way people listen to music and how artists can use the Internet to gain exposure and a wider audience for their music. Everything is changing at an increasingly rapid pace and this too is exciting as who knows how music will develop. As long as it remains fresh and exciting I will still be DJing and producing till they carry me off in a box.

Would like to hear from other like minded DJs/Producers to exchange advice and tips and of course from any record labels interested in my tunes!!!!
