4 metal-shelves become a 12 channel sound system to carry
audio-memories. Voltages are converted to mechanical movement of a
piezoelectric polymer film, attached to and extended by the metalshelf.
A shelf is used for collecting and arranging things. An empty shelf shows little.
Dodecaphonic principles arrange a composition for the shelf, based on its resonant frequencies.
Phonographic memories of six unique scenes are put into the shelf.
A guidebook describes one of those places:"The cave is damp and warm, at the beginning still flat in the interior
and then quickly becoming slippery and full of rough stones. If you are
alone and without a good flashlight, an inspection of the 150 m deep
cave is dangerous or even impossible. In the cave you can hear bats;
additional occupants are big yellow spiders."
