@Johannes Heinen: Like Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart's unafraid approach with Rush's 70s progressive experimentation and Eric Dolphy's 60s musical ear. I can't recall having heard anything quite like this before. Credit where credit is due, this is just wildly innovative and damn fine. Exceptional work, and big thanks to Johannes Heinen for directing me here. Great work, well done.

This is really great - a lot of fun to listen too...there's just so much going on, I could listen to it over and over and find something new each time. You might like Zach Hill - http://www.myspace.com/zachhillmusic ...a little on the strange side but one of the most incredible drummers you may have ever heard. ou may have to pick through his stuff to find something palatable...he ranges widely from straight noise core to almost jazz fusion...especially the stuff he did with Hella - much more musical than his solo stuff. Anyway - keep doing your thang! It's amazing - You should be famous!

@malachitely: Yes I was a hard core teen fan of that Zappa guy, as well as a fan of guys he was a fan of (ie: Stravinsky, Varese), and I do get into these moods where I want to saturate my work with as much a mixture of influences as I can, hopefully without them obliterating each other. Thanks Kenneth for your amazing comments and very encouraging sentiments — it is a lot of work squeezed into not much free time (as well as a painstaking learning process just getting it to SOUND right), but the few listeners like yourself who actually GET IT make it more than worthwhile.

excellentamento! Bravissimo! . . . most definately. i assume, dear Sir, in your timeyou had had a rather protracted listen to the Maestro, Mister Zappa: shades of G-Spot Tornado, Moggio, Sinister Footwear, The Girl in The Magnesium Dress &perhaps other, later things (out of The Yellow Shark) come to mind; albeit this track of yours (& doubtless others of yours that i'm yet to listen too) shews compositional consummate skills especially in the perc & the orchestration . . . am awed by your conceptual continuity & the drive, seldom does 1 hear such exquisite renderings. best wishes to you & may your star rise even further. uploading my stuff soon (gotta convert files & other techies before i can), hope you'll eventually give them a listen! - malachitely

on this one you sound like mike portnoy on acid,
not to mention the brilliant music you place on the percussion.
you are definately a genius musician.
      no doubt about that.
i think you should be famous:)

@Paulo Dandrea: absolutely. Almost a bit too much though. Unless that was the point. Gods, I haven't listened to JfH in ages.

Zappa meets Varese (which I'm sure he tried to do. Actually he tried calling Varese on the phone. His wife answered and said he was away in Paris working on Poem Electronique).
