About
In every genre of music there are people who play their role safely and there are people who are never afraid to take chances. As playing music is self-reflection, it’s no surprise that Scarborough native SCARTAT has never been one to be pigeonholed into just one corner. The diversity in his sets is unparalleled, dropping everything from drum’n’bass to hardcore, metal to hip hop, house to breakcore and everything in between.
Playing alongside the globe's top talent, he has graced fans at virtually every venue in Ontario and beyond, bringing his style across borders to the USA and Quebec. Needless to say, Scartat’s schedule has been nearly non-stop since he started playing out. He has held residencies with several of Canada's most prominent promoters such as Terror Inc, De'rAngEd, Embryon and more recently the Canadian Hardcore Collective.
Scartat's original productions have given him a global presence, with songs Gimme A Scream, Pop Music Done Wrong and Scan For Pain getting support from artists such as Fexomat, C64 and more. Working alongside fellow producers Locked and JePh, the trio 666 has been pleasing crowds with their original sounds for several years, recently reuniting to do it agian. When asked if Scartat plans to continue creating and delivering the darkness upon the world, he responds, “Most
definitely. Someone's got to bring back the ‘what the fuck?’ factor to music.”
