Saturday Night Heroes (SNH) is the dj name of James Worthington, who has been djing since 1995. James fell in love with the sound of electronic house music at the tender age of 17, when by chance a friend of his at the time, gave him a mix tape of the (then relatively unknown) dj called Sasha. The music that Sasha played had a huge impact on James, but it wasn’t until five years later on that James started to dj.
As a mixing style, SNH tend to play a mixture of tech-house (originally know as progressive house) that often brings together deep or minimal techno music, this often integrates some funky house, deep house, trance, and even some hard techno at times and very often some dub elements. These sets often start off with a more 'laid-back' feel (chill out / ambient tracks), that gradually build into a more 'progressive’ feel”, over the course of the mix. Often ending in an ecstatic release of energy at the end. Although there might be dips and peaks in the energy level, these mixes are created to take a listener on a journey and as such, the music is found to be as enjoyable as a 'headphone experience', as it is a dance floor one.
Other dj’s that have been inspirational to SNH over the years are, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Ian Ossia, Sander Kleinenberg, Henry Saiz, Guy J, James Zabiela, Gui Borrato, Parks & Wilson, Fathers Of Sound, Danny Howells, Tim Lyall and James Lavelle to name but a few.
So now sit back and enjoy the music...
