Jonas Schiefferdecker, known by the stage name of Joney, is an experimental multi-genre music producer,
drummer and laptop musician from Hamburg, Germany. Since 2009, Joney has been releasing a broad variety
of productions and remixes, ranging from jazz influenced drum and bass, to garage or glitch and trap
influenced bass music, to house and techno club tunes. This is his Debut-Ep for SATURATE! but its at least
a Mini-Album or how we like to call it Mega-Ep.

The opening Track, "Love Is Like An Ocean" combines classic and contemporary sound production methods.
90bpm, soul samples, cut and paste vocals, however without rap, and indeed with a synth line that sets every
club in ruins. Title and Vocal Cuts easily suggest that the track was inspired by nocturnal calls of past loves.
If you´re down with dogmatic pigeonholing and classification of this Title, how about "Future Violent Post Rap"?
Even though Genres are for journalists, they may also help to assign a certain sound to a specific year. 2012
surely is the year in which the sound called "Trap" was birthed and died, if you dare to believe the hype.

But what next? "Fuck Em Up" provides a perspective, and whoever glorifies established genres or categories can
call this one a "Post Trap" Song. The same goes for the ear blowing songs "Allright" and "OMG its Ethno Music".
Bass drums so heavy, when they get on the scale it says "to be continued". Analog modulated frequency emissions
that easily affect biological processes in the living organism, especially in combination with the short, bold snare
strokes, which have been executed with the precision of a whip's lash.

Once "Get Drunk (feat. Grapes)" started, the ambitious listener is rewarded with a 160 bpm juke/footwork-ish
production which is unique regarding fine dynamics, a stormy groove, melodies sometimes reduced to just one
tone, sometimes contrapuntal. The gathering storm that is afflicting the last third of "Illowhead" is also catching
up a 2-step garage bassline, some old school jungle loops and a few Atlanta hip-hop drums & cuts from the 90s
    in "40 oz. (feat. Grapes).
Considering the seven a lucky number, Joney drops "Razorblade & Pancake" as the last song. The half-acoustic,
Psy-Garage anthem takes listeners on a journey through the deep valleys and spaces between love and hate,
cowardice and courage, reverb and delay, Ableton and Fruity Loops.

Enjoy this new world of sounds and songs straight from the mastermind
and inventor of uncountable serious genres; first and foremost Violent-Jazz.
