I'm gonna drop some mixes from parties and some practice mixes for y'all p'leasure on here. Crank up the volume dial to the max. and get skanking, enjoy!
All mixes are recorded straight from vinyl played on 2 turnies and a simple mixer ... no CDs, no mp3s, no post production, overdubbing or any other digital bells and whistles. Live and honest -- vinyl never lies!
(I don't aim to be a mad turntabelist or the DJ with the wickedest mixes on the block -- I much rather see myself as a selector, it's all about the selection!)
Musical and visual art go hand in hand, right?! Check out some of my stencil art on Stenc-o-rama.com ... visual p'leasure that goes well with the tunes.
@saetchmo: he's coming to play in melbourne again in early december -- an absolute must see! last time he came he brought his Dad out and shared the stage with him, P-Diggs from shapeshifter was also there .... epic! i just saw shapeshifter a few weeks ago as well ... Australia is a good place to be if ya like the tunes from Aotearoa ... pitch black is gonna be in town again next months too and Fat Freddy's Drop rocked the place 2 weeks ago ... we might miss out on many internationals down here, but the kings of kiwi vibes are visiting us all once or twice a year!
;-)
wheeeeeeeel up!! big tune in session!! great set, also very sweet vibe from DubFlow. Big up yourself!
uhm, looks like someone thought you could just sneak onto soundcloud unnoticed ;-) ... very nice!
i'm feeling the vibe -- very sweet. (Natalie and Carlo are friends of mine ;-)
very smooth track -- fantastic!
@saetchmo: my p'leisure ;-)
i remember hearing it 4 times one night -- first we played it at home before going out, headed to a dubstep nite and sure enough it was played there too, then we listened to a mix CD in the car and it was on there too and later in the night caught up with the Nomad and he played it as well! Big tune indeed!
it's a white label from the DUBBYSTYLE2 label, so not sure who remixed it. it's been played to death in pretty much every dubstep mix of the past year
awesome track!
@saetchmo: hehe, i'm well aware of jan delays reggae album -- bin doch erst vor 6 jahren ausgewandet ;-) ... die karajan dubs kenn ich allerdings nicht, sounds mad interesting though! keep up the great mixes mate!
mr arfman on the dub mix ... nice! i played didgeridoo as a guest on a indie/grunge album about 15 years that was produced by matthieas arfman. i was just starting to get a little bit into reggae back then and had no idea that he was one of the pioneers of dub in germany. chance missed ;-)
yes-I .... massive tune! i'm totally enjoying this mix lifting up my sunday. big ups for the download bro!
great selection of some classic tunes and riddims, nicely rocking into the night on it at the mo -- thanks for the download!
oh shit ... and you're jumping straight to the present -- mungo's is one of my fave's atm, wicked version dis is ... pow pow pow
yes-I, big tune!!! prince far-I was the first dub i ever heared, he converted me ;-)
U Brown is a legend -- great tune!!
lovely!
@saetchmo: schoenen dank ... i'm guessing i'll find some time on the weekend to record a couple new mixes. considering i'm receiving my new subwoofer this week i'll probably spend the entire weekend on the decks anyway dropping the heaviest dubs i can find in my collection ;-)
@olgaundhelga: thx bro -- yes, there will be more coming, for sure ... i still haven't played the rest of the stuff that was in the box i nicked from you ;-)
very nice bro ... unfortunately it is too early for a spliff ;-)
ya ya ya, everyone loves Alborosie ... though I'm a bit disappointed by the new album.
hearing Gentleman outside of Germany is not much of a surprise anymore, but Martin Jondo is not that common -- nice choice bro. have you had a chance to check out Patrice, he's probably my favorite artist out of Germaica -- very beautiful (almost) singer/songwriter style with lyrics that actually matter.
