Sashwat has long been an avid fan of all that is music, delving into everything from drums to keys and even, for a little time, rap. He was first introduced to EDM in 2000 when he heard the psy-bient sounds of Shpongle. Hooked immediately on trance and psy-trance, he quickly submerged himself into every other genre of EDM he possibly could.
Ever since 2007, Sashwat has consistently been pushing the DJ-ing envelope by introducing the world to newest bass-heavy sounds. Performing alongside acts like Distance, Antiserum & Roommate (OSC), Truth, HULK, Goldie, DJ Marky, Avicii, D. Ramirez, 6BLOCC, AK1200, Hellfire Machina, DJ Kue, Sub Swara, Kraddy, hubsmoke, and Horse Force, and with worldwide listeners in every continent, DJ Sashwat is one to keep an eye on in the future of non-cheesy/face-smashing electro and dubstep.
In 2010, DJ Sashwat launched DANK 'N' DIRTY DUBZ, a label focusing on Deep and Heavy Dubstep, which attracted an immediate buzz with its first release, a Free Dubstep Compilation containing 36 unmixed tracks by some of the finest up and coming producers in the game. Since then, the label has been delivering some massive releases and free releases, always keeping the fans on their toes eager to hear the next slew of unique soundscapes.
