Calgary born Saratonin became familiar with the live stage at a very
early age. Daughter of accomplished blues/country singer Big Cat Daddy,
Saratonin has been singing and writing songs as long as she can remember. She
became a part of the electronic music scene at the age of 15 and
within a year began accompanying drum&Bass/jungle Dj’s with her moody
and angelic voice. Wanting to take her music a step further, the
songstress began collaborating with talented Hip Hop MC’s and producers
throughout Canada. Between playing Shambhala Music Festival five consecutive
times and rocking multiple stages at Burning Man, touring and playing
festivals was the norm for this artist. With the birth of her first child in 2007, Saratonin managed to find fresh inspiration and has been able to breathe new life experience into her music.

Lately, Saratonin has been working harder than ever, within a year she has opened for or played alongside names such as Zedsdead, Ben Samples, Adventure Club, Stylust Beats, Mat the Alien and more. A recent
invitation to sing for the 2012 San Francisco Decompression Street Party
had her belting out vocals to thousands of dancing bodies further than
the eye could see. Some of her more freshly recorded tracks include
collaborations with Ben Samples (Denver), D.Veloped (North Carolina), Stylust Beats (San Francisco),
Subvert (Calgary), and Soulscience (New Zealand). This seasoned vocalist
is on a roll and not stopping anytime soon. Collaborations with big
talent and taking her live shows to the next level are just part of
what’s in store for 2013.
