    Lyrics (Sarah Cowart 2011)

I packed up my bags with worn-out blue jeans,
an old faded shirt, just the things that I would need
And I smiled as I left all the rest of it behind
and drove all my hopes toward the marmalade sky

I once was told by the one that I loved best
if you're starting over, there's no better way than west
I don't know why I believed it, all the rest he said was lies
is the road to redemption found in the marmalade skies?

    Chorus:
Someday the story will be told
the answers will be had and the future will unfold
But right now what is there but do or die?
With no compass or map on which you can rely, all you can do is try
    to follow the marmalade sky

All of my choices one by one were stripped away,
until the only one I didn't have was to stay
so I took a little faith and all the courage I could find
and looked for the answers in the marmalade sky

    Chorus (x2)
