    Lyrics:

I spent most my day, on the Blues Highway
Cleveland in my rear view, on my way to Baton Rouge

Sometimes life goes too fast, you need to slow it down and drive South

I searched around for my great-grandma's house
there in Vicksburg town, the Yankees almost burned it down

I can almost hear Papaw laugh, as he told me stories of his past

I saw the signs to save Church Street along the way
Mr. D met me at the door of the old country store

Just because it's old don't mean it don't shine, it takes guts and soul to stand the
    test of time

I went through Washington on Highway 61
Saw miles of trees and fields from the Doloroso Hill

I want to be as strong and still as the Live Oaks grow in St. Francisville

I've spent most my days along the Blues Highway
It's laid down on my heart, and it flows through my veins.
