SANKARA BIO:

SANKARA es un proyecto que nace de la idea de unos amigos por hacer lo que mas les gusta… Música. Además de esto, llevar el mensaje de sus letras, que no son mas que nuestro punto de vista sobre las cosas que día a día vemos en el mundo.
En marzo de 2008, David Veloz (Voz, Guitarra) llega a la Argentina desde Ecuador para estudiar en la Escuela de música de Buenos Aires (EMBA), donde conoce a Facu Rojas (Guitarra). Es ahí cuando comienza a generarse el proyecto SANKARA, hasta ese entones sin un nombre definido. Desde ese año David y Facu, comienzan hacer música juntos y a componer temas como El Punky y Despierta.
Con el pasar de los años la idea de seguir ampliando el proyecto los lleva a querer sumar más gente.
Y en el año 2010 conocen a Fernando Vega (Bajista) y Federico Razetti (Batería), comenzando así a ensayar juntos como banda.
En ese momento se ven en la necesidad de buscar un nombre que los identifique con su música, hubo algunas propuestas pero al final deciden llamar a la Banda SANKARA.

El nombre SANKARA viene de Thomas Sankara, ex presidente de Burkina Faso un hombre que lucho mucho para que sus ideas sean escuchadas es por eso que la banda se identifica con aquel hombre al que mucha gente llamo el Che Negro.

SANKARA es un proyecto de amigos que tienen como lema principal, Disfrutar de lo que hacen… Su música.

The name comes from Thomas Sankara SANKARA, former president of Burkina Faso a man who fought hard to have their ideas heard is why the band is identified with the man who many people call the Black Che.
