In 2008, Sanguine launched with UFO!’s full-length album Logic Is Lunacy including a music video for the single ”Forbidden Love”. It was the perfect illustration of what inspired the label – the chance to capture the moment when an artist turns the corner from what they have been known for, to where they taking their music in the future.

Vanguard DJ/producer UFO! (Edwin Garro) – who also stands as A&R advisor for Sanguine – though widely regarded as one of the US's pioneering drum & bass artists, revealed a reinvented self with his most dancefloor-ready output to date, which included his first venture into the 4/4 format as well as in the role of vocalist.

The follow-up output from the label chronicled UFO!’s journey to Costa Rica and back to NYC where his collaboration with young spitfire Son1ka – whose raw fusion was unveiled as Cosmetics.

On tap for 2009, Sanguine Recordings follows the evolution of Ed Garro (UFO!) as he collaborates once again with long time friend and music partner Alex Posell (Dj Abstract) as they develop the live act Almost Human. This effort incorporates their vast experience, spanning almost two decades of DJing and music production, into the rock infused, but still very electronic and bass driven sound of Almost Human.

2009 also marks the beginning of “Societas”; a charitable imprint, founded as a way to give back to the community with 100% of profits going to a charitable cause of the artist’s choosing, in their name.

Sanguine also works with world-class graphic designers, photographers, video producers and visual artists that help bring the music to life. Establishing a strong visual component for the label is a key way to ignite people’s curiosity and experience of the music.
