Samuel has been a staple on the west coast underground dance scene since 1998. Since signing his first vinyl remix in 2001, to Transition Records, Samuel’s production and dj performances have taken him across the globe. Samuel’s sets are versatile and his abilities form to fit nearly any mood and party. Most commonly Samuel is booked to play his brand of 2am tech house mixed flawlessly. He has shared the stage with Fatboy Slim, Steve Lawler, Mark Farina, JT Donaldson, Lance Desardi, Iz and Diz, and countless others in the past twelve years. After holding residencies at numerous clubs in San Francisco, Samuel is currently living in Oregon, which offers a quick plane flight to nearly anywhere.

Lawrence’s tracks receive spins from top jocks and appeared on countless mix cds. Recently two of his productions were featured on Terry Lee Brown Jr. and the Timewriter’s Club FM Mix CD. Samuel has done remixes, and been remixed by many artists including Jay West, Harold Heath, Pete Moss and Natural Rhythm just to name a few.
In 2004, Mimosa Recordings was formed; and today is headed by Samuel. Mimosa has become a standard in dance music throughout the world. With productions ranging from deep house to trip-hop to techno, Samuel has kept the label on top. Now Mimosa just releases digitally, and they are constantly on the top of charts at beatport.com and many others.
With a solid number of new productions and remixes, after a unbelievable 2010, Samuel has been taking some time off touring to just work on production.
The sound Samuel is currently focusing on blends and influences from UK Funky, deep tech (as usual), and bass music.
2012 will be a new page, new production, still rocking vinyl, and a new custom built studio which will take Sam's production into areas we have not seen from him, or anyone:)
