Every now and again, I have to take some time out of my day and just make cool sounds. It is nice to not burden myself with preconceived notions like "this will be a post-punk song in the key of A flat and it will feature two guitars, bass, drums, and blah blah blah blah." It is always refreshing to just start making goofy sounds, keep making goofy sounds, and seeing what you can do.

"Bracewell Probe" is a ambient/drone track that started with no intentions and a sample of a really strange sounding sheep. I manipulated the sheep into a spooky, low, resonating drone. After I recorded a pass of myself manipulating filters, I thought, "This sounds like a space probe", so I just went from there. I then turned the sheep into this digital, burping sound with some granular morphing and stacked a few very strange synth sounds.

Not much else to say. I starting with a creepy sheep, and I ended up with a bizarre drone track that you can just unwind to. At least I hope you can. I find strange things relaxing.
