About
Samn Johnson is an American composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Ann Arbor. Samn first began to accrue critical attention in 2011 with his remix of Johannes Ockeghem's "Missa Prolationum," which made its way onto his first album, Variations (2012). The album is a collection of remixed pieces by a variety of classical composers. Since composing Variations, Samn has been engaged in a variety of dance collaborations, an orchestral work, and two recently completed albums, both awaiting release. He is currently enrolled in the University of Michigan's composition department, and studies with Evan Chambers.
