Thanks to his iconic sound; a blend of Trance, Dubstep and Electro, Sam Laxton's rise to fame has been steep. Even with his first release on philosophy recordings, he got featured on the most visited Dubstep website: Dubstep.net. His second Dubstep track got support from an unexpected corner. Trance legend Daniel Kandi tweeted about it and it instantly went viral.

Not long after that, he made a free remix of Lost Witness' "Happiness Happening". Lost Witness are a UK Trance act that has sold 2 million records worldwide to date. Lost Witness were so impressed with the remix of this track that they commissioned Sam Laxton to remix their new single "Our Suns Rising" featuring legendary singer Adam Zindani, of the Stereophonics. It topped charts everywhere.

In January 2013, a good friend of Philosophy Recordings, "Shola" heard his remix work for Lost Witness and was so impressed he asked to remix "Shola Ft. Anise - Another Day". Sam Laxton's remix of Another Day was featured as a Dubstep.Net Exclusive and rose to Nr. 1 on the charts in a week, staying there for the next month!

One thing led to another and Hardcore legends Al Storm and Euphony asked him to remix their iconic dancefloor hit "Get Ya Hands Up" featuring Angie Brown. It got picked up by USA label Simplify Recordings and was Instantly climbing the charts on Beatport.

Right now, remixer of the moment, Sam Laxton is enjoying support by tons of Dj's worldwide and is featured on the regular on various famous podcasts.

That isn't all for the wonderboy of Newcastle. With what is in the pipeline, Sam is sure to dominate future charts. In the timespan of less than a year, Sam Laxton's name is burning on everybody's lips.
