About

Short Bio:
Prolific. Renaissance Man. Dope! These are a few words used to describe SaintLike.
With Nearly 2 Decades of Production, DJing and Musical knowledge under his belt (which, incidentally is blue), and countless gigs to speak of dating back to the early/mid 90s, SaintLike has shared the booth and/or the stage with an impressive roster of Great Artists. SaintLike is a true Subwoofer Scientist.

Not As Short Bio:
Prolific. Renaissance Man. Dope! These are a few choice words that have been used by some premier artists to describe the man currently known as SaintLike (incidentally, the name is a clever book reference). SaintLike has been know in various music scenes by various names as far back as the early 90’s. Switching from Punk and Alt Rock bands to electronic based production and DJing at age 16 and by 17, SaintLike (Then Known as Saint Michael) was known as one of the DC area’s premier up and coming junglists and played weekly at events up and down the East Coast, and a had his first Jungle release on vinyl (Via Random Records) to boot. With a focus on Turntablism and rooted in the golden era of Hip Hop, it was a natural progression when Saint Michael added Lyricism to the skill set and adapted the new moniker ST/MiC (Saint with a Mic).

By the early and mid 2000's, ST/MiC had a number of regular gigs both on the tables and the mic in the DMV area, including a weekly in Fredericksburg, as well as frequent spots at Jessie Tittsworth's now legendary Krunk events. From '04-'06, there were frequent collaborations, production for other artists, and the release of several EPs, including those of friends Jazz Addixx. 2007 - 2010 would prove equally busy with releases on Vibra, Domination Recordings, DigiCrates Records, Japan's Libyus Music (alongside artists like Nujabes and Fat Jon), and production and engineering credits including C Rayz, Walz, Moka Only, Muneshine, Has-Lo and many other well known artists in the indie hip hop scene.

In 2011, Mike’s musical explorations took him down yet another new avenue. With new skills learned via Berklee Musics engineering program and having just finished hosting a 52 episode underground hip hop and beat phantasmagoria radio show series hosted by Bloggerhouse and ProducersiKnow.com , Scrunch Face Show, Mike adopted a new moniker, SaintLike, to match the new direction. With his very first dubstep remix landing on an EP on Beatport in early 2012, the rest of the year would bring more sonic noodlings into the deeper side of bass. 2013 was explosive! Landing big gigs left and right in the DC/MD/VA area and Dropping releases via Sweden’s Dirty Beatz Records.

As part of the One Love Massive collective, Dark Matter Squad and Symbiotic, SaintLike continues to bring his genre-defying, Turntablism influenced sounds to the aurally-inclined. His prolific gig and release schedule continues to pay homage to subwoofer science.
